I am an Associate Professional Counselor curently receiving supervision to obtain my full license in Georgia. I am originally from Colombia and I speak English and Spanish fluently. I am Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified Alcohol & Drugs Counselor.
I hold a master’s degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the San Buenaventura University.
My experience includes working with immigrant children and their families, individuals struggling with alcohol and drugs use, co-dependence and domestic violence. I facilitate domestic violence, anger management, and addiction’s recovery groups and feel strongly about the importance and benefit of group support.
My approach to counseling is holistic, I consider how physical, relational, emotional, vocational, and spiritual aspects of functioning affect your ability to live according to your personal values. I pull from a variety of theoretical approaches and tailor my interventions based on your individual needs.I am a nonjudgmental, warm, attentive therapist who will provide a safe space to explore your concerns and will collaborate with you to create achievable, meaningful goals to improve your well-being and find the quality of life you are looking for.
